Days & Hours: Tues, Thurs, Sat : 7AM-10AM

Tickets are required for Sunflower Days!

Arrive at the Sunflower Days entrance within 15 minutes of your ticket time to scan your ticket!

If you arrive late, you will be denied entry!

No tickets are needed to harvest fruit and vegetables

Pro Tips:

  • Come early for best selection as crops are limited and sell out!
  • Wear closed toed shoes, hats, sunscreen, and bring water to stay cool and safe!
  • Bring shears and hand shovels for easy harvesting beets and carrots.
  • Carrot & Beet greens are delicious! Try greens in salads, soups, chimichurri, pesto and more!
  • Feel the root of carrots/beets to find largest before pulling. Leave small carrots/beets to grow.
  • Check berries for full color before picking. Pulled green/white strawberries will not ripen and red blackberries will not ripen.
  • Bring shallow cardboard boxes for picking apricots/apriums.

  • Summer Squash $1.50 lb : Basima, Patty Pan, One Ball, Yellow Straight Neck, Zephyr
  • Zucchini $1.50 lb 
  • Do NOT pick squash/zucchini flowers: We do not sell squash flowers

 

You-Pick Fruit Trees

  • Royal Rosa Apricots : Rows 16&17, 65 -67 
  • Flavor Delight Apriums : Rows 18-24 55 & 57
  • Go to the NORTH END of rows!
  • Walk to the far North end of the rows for best fruit and off Elda’s Road!

 

You-Pick Berries : Come early! We sell out!

  • LIMITED crop, so come early as we will sell out!
  • To enter the Berry Field you need to use our green you-pick containers 
  • $10 strawberry or $6 blackberry you-pick containers
  • Once the allotted you-pick containers are gone, the you-pick berry field will be closed until our next open picking day
  • Check the whole berry to ensure it ripe before pulling
  • White strawberries or red blackberries will not ripen after being picked18

How to Pick Blackberries
Banner Reading: How to Pick Strawberries at Gilcrease Orchard. Ripe berries look plump and glossy. Find Deep Red Berries Plump & Glossy Wash At Home Pinch the Stem Grab the stem, not the berry, and pinch. Leave caps and stems on for longer storage. If you see pink, white, or green, it is not ripe! Green berries will not ripen. Storage Wash Berries with gentle cool water before eating. Keep berries cool. Store in crisper drawer or wash then freeze. Be Gentle Do not smash, or pack container too full.
