Spring field trips are in April & May. Bookings will open in January. Check back in early January for booking details.
Students are $6.50 each and parents/chaperones are $6.50 each for the tour. Staff teachers are free!

Staff Led Field trips are geared towards K-3rd grade & have 3 three rotations on a timed schedule:
- Educational presentation on the orchard – 20 mins
- Presentations at our bees and chickens – 30 mins
- Wagon ride to pick seasonal fruits or vegetables. Fall – students pick pumpkins. Spring – students pick carrots. Based on availability of produce – 30 mins. Adults do not get to take home pumpkins or carrots.
- Private/Charter Schools are 9AM slots & CCSD Schools are 10AM slots
- Space is limited! Please limit the number of adults to 1 adult per 10 students
- 1 ticket is needed for each student, parents/chaperones, and teachers. Include ALL parents/chaperones and they reimburse the school. Parents or chaperones not in original booking may not be permitted (space is limited)
- Waitlist does not roll over to the next season. Spring bookings open in January and Fall bookings in early August. August 12th AM will open for Fall 2024.

- Bus reimbursement grants are available for CCSD busses up to $500 per field trip. We will not reimburse for charter/private busses.
- Submit this Microsoft Form online AND
- Email the invoice/bill from CCSD Transportation directly to [email protected] by Nov 30th
- We will process payment and send a check in the mail 2-3 weeks later
- Payment IN FULL by credit card/debit required at the time of booking. ONLY CCSD schools will be permitted to use check.
- Tickets for students are $6.50 each and parents/chaperones are $6.50 each. Staff teachers are free
- Chaperone ratio is 1 adult : 10 students due to limited space. When booking include ALL chaperones/parents even if not being paid by the school. Unless indicated special circumstances, we cannot allow a chaperone ratio of greater than 1 adult : 7 kids, as we need as many students possible to experience the field trip and wagon ride.
- 10AM time slot is for CCSD schools ONLY due to bussing. If another school other than CCSD books at 10AM, they will be canceled and refunded.
- 9AM time slot is reserved for Private and Charter Schools.
- Ensure bussing/transportation is available on your desired date by your administration and transportation.
- Field trips are 1.5 hours long. You can bring sack lunches and stay an extra 30 min.
Home school groups or a pre-schools please either come on a day we are open to the public, or call us to discuss program options.
- Porta potties are available for restrooms.
- Parking is free on the street for the busses and in the lot across the street for cars.
- Field trips are 1.5 hours long and if you like you can bring sack lunches and stay an extra 30 min.
- Some areas are paves, most are gravel/wood chips and unlevel ground.
Each student should bring:
- A cold water bottle as the field trip is outside with little shade.
- Closed toed shoes, hats, sunscreen, and dress for the weather.
- Lunch or snacks if school plans to stay for lunch.

Your field trip will consist of three rotations:
1) Educational presentation about fruit and vegetables, bees, and chickens
2) Wagon ride and
3) Students pick in-season fruits or vegetables to take home
In fall, students pick pumpkins. In spring, students pick carrots.
This is subject to change based on the availability of our produce on the date of your field trip. We ask ALL adults to help students pick produce (carrots or pumpkins) and leave produce for the students.
Field trips are on a tight schedule and students will need to move to different areas in a timeframe.
A limited concession stand will be available after trip. Not all items may be available.

and we will make every effort to accommodate your group and modify the field trip as needed.
About 1.5 hours.
If your program begins at 9am, the educational portion will be done at 10:30am.
If your program begins at 10am, the educational portion will be done at 11:30am.
If your group chooses to bring a sack lunch at the end of your tour, plan for an extra half hour.
Absolutely! If your group is smaller than 50 or does not fit our age guidelines, we encourage unguided tours on the days that we are open for normal business operations. Entrance to the orchard is free (except for ticketed events), but wagon rides are not usually available. You are welcome to use our picnic tables as first come first serve basis.
During normal business hours we have our farm stand, concessions and you-pick seasonal produce. You may pick produce and pay by the pound.

We have a minimum group size of 50 and a maximum group size of 150.

The $6.50 helps pay for seeds, fertilizer, and labor to grow the carrots or pumpkins. It also helps pay for the diesel for the wagon rides, staff time for our terrific presenters, and credit card/ticketing processing fees.
We offer to pour a glass of apple cider for an additional fee of $1 per person.
We accept credit or debit cards at the time of booking. Pay in full during booking. Only CCSD has option to pay by check.
Spring field trips are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in April & May. Spring Bookings open in late January.
Fall field trips are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in September, October, and November. Fall bookings open the 1st day of CCSD school in August.
A water bottle is strongly encouraged, as the kids may run through the maze, and during the warmer months, the kids get thirsty.
Closed toed shoes, hats, and sunscreen.
Fall – Bring foldable wagon for each class to place pumpkins in or cardboard boxes. It helps if they can fit in bus cargo or a chaperone brings a van/truck to transport pumpkins back to school. OR students can each hold their pumpkin on the bus.

No, we are not open on field trip days. We will have some items for purchase. Items will depend on availability and change weekly. We cannot guarantee the availability of any items. We will set up a small concession stand with a limited amount of items. Students can purchase items if they bring funds.
We ask all Adults to not pick produce (pumpkins or carrots) during produce and help students to pick.
Yes, we have dozens of picnic tables under a shade shelter.
